Sr Josette avec la famille royale anglaise

The New Council

Sr Josette with the Sri Lankan Sisters

Mardi 17 avril

Tuesday 17th April

On Saturday after a period of consultation and community discernment we elected Sr Josette Bijloos as the Superior General. We celebrated the news by having a drink together, and lots of singing and dancing! The British Royal family even made an appearance!
The atmosphere on Saturday afternoon changed once more as we moved into discernment and silence once more to elect the General Council. We remained in silence until Sunday morning when we voted for the new team:
Sr Shiromali Fernando (Sri Lanka), Sr Gaelle Jacquier (France), Sr Gillian Murphy (England) and Sr Marie Brigitte Rakotoson (Madagascar). After those emotional moments on Sundqy morning the Sisters had the opportunity to visit Lisieux, Alencon or Souligny.  In the evening we had a meal to celebrate the nominations.
However, on Monday morning we were back to work. Our prayer and sharing were based on Pope Francis' Apostolic Exhortation, Rejoice in the Lord, which reminds us of the Universal Call to Holiness. A phrase that spoke: "Allow the Spirit to forge in you the personal mystery that can reflect Jesus Christ in today's world" §23
We then began to gather the main points that came from the listening assembly, and the ideas and suggestions from all the Sisters in the Regions.
Every evening we are nourished spiritually by the Eucharist which is celebrated in our varoius languages. We are very fortunate to have a Madagascan priest who speaks French, English and Malgache. He really has become our brother!
(Sr Nirmala, Sri Lanka)

Anisan’ny fotoan-dehibe anankiray eo amin’ny chapitre tokoa ny fifidianana ny Mamera Jeneraly sy ireo mpanolo-tsaina azy. Nanatanteraka izany izahay tamin’ny asabotsy lasa teo hatramin’ny alahady tapany maraina. Mba fiomanana bebe kokoa tamin’izany dia ny fakana fotoana nivavahana sy ny fahanginana nanomboka ny zoma hariva hatramin’ny nahavitan’ny fifidianana mba hahafahan’ny tsirairay mandinika sy mifidy miaraka amin’ny Fanahy Masina.
Ny fifidianana ny Mamera Jeneraly no natao ny asabotsy maraina izay natao taorian’ny  lamesa notarihin’ny Evekan’ny Le Mans ary taorian’izany dia nizotra avy hatrany teny amin’ny efitrano fivoriana mba hanao ny fifidianana.
Rehefa avy nanoratra izay nofidiny ny captulantes tsirairay dia natao avy hatrany ny fanisam-bato ka voafidy tamin’izany i Soeur BIJLOOS Josette avy any Belgique. Tokony ho tamin’ny 10h 59mn no nanambaran’i Eveka ampahibemaso fa izy no mamera Jeneraly hitantana indray ny Fikambanana manontolo mandritra ny enin-taona ho avy. Tonga niarahaba sy nankahery azy avokoa ny mpandray anjara rehetra tamin’ny chapitre ary samy naneho ny fihetseham-pony avy ny tsirairay. Tsy diso anjara tamin’izany koa ny fisaorana an’ireo ekipa  teo aloha tamin’ny asa maro vitan’izy ireo . Nampafantarina tamin’ny finday ireo masera any amin’ny faritra misy anay  satria efa samy niandry izany tokoa izy ireo. Taorian’izany dia niroso amin’ny fiaraha-miala hetaheta niaraka tamin’i Mamera Jeneraly vaovao. Hafaliana sy horakoraka no nameno ny efitrano nandritra izany.
Ny asabotsy hariva dia niroso indray amin’ny fiomanana ny fifidianana   an’ ireo  ho mpanolo-tsaina azy ka nitohy hatrany ny vavaka, sy ny fahanginana mba handinihana miaraka amin’ny Fanahy Masina ny anaran’olona izay hatolotra. Ny alahady maraina tamin’ny sivy ora no nanomboka ny fifidianana  ka voafidy tamin’izany i masera FERNANDO Shiromali avy any Sri-Lanka, sy i masera RAKOTOSON Marie Brigitte avy any Madagascar, i masera MURPHY Gillian ary i masera JACQUIER Gaëlle izay samy avy any Eoropa avokoa. Hitantsika amin’izany fa iraisam-pirenena tokoa ny ao amin’ny Conseil Général. Ny alahady hariva dia niato kely ny chapitre ka tao ny nanararaotra niala voly kely nandeha tany Lisieux sy  teny Alençon ary nisy ihany koa ireo izay nijanona niala sasatra tao an-trano.
Nitohy indray ny chapitre ny alatsinainy faha 16 hatramin’ny asabotsy faha 21 aprily izay hoentina handinihana ireo zavatra hiainana ny enin-taona manaraka ka natomboka tamin’ny fifampizarana ny « Exhortation Apostolique du Pape François » izay mikasika ny fahamasinana izany.  Amin’ny alahady faha 22 aprily ho avy izao no hifarana ny chapitre amin’ny alalan’ny « Célébration d’obédience » izay hatao any Ruillé  misy ny Trano Reny .
Isaorantsika Andriamanitra Ray be Fitiavana  tamin’izany rehetra izany ary mbola apetratsika eo am-pelatanany izay rehetra mbola hatao . Misaotra anareo  tamin’ny fitondrana anay am-bavaka.

Quelques documents créés pendant les six dernières années
Jeudi 12 Avril

Hun inbreng was verrijkend.

Thursday 12th April 2018
The days are passing and the work of the Chapter continues. Each morning we begin with a prolonged time of prayer, a sharing of the Gospel of the day.
Since Sunday we have listened to the reports from each of the regions, joys, questions, and ideas for the future. We also welcomed lay people and the tutelle from the spiritual family.
Their words were both encouraging and moving and even very challenging! We were reminded that we are SISTERS OF PROVIDENCE ! They invited us to follow paths that are not easy to take sometimes.  They reminded us that our communities are places of witness to the love of God especially for those in need. They also reminded us that they are there for us and with us. They spoke with conviction about their attachment to the congregation and to its charism, reminding us that they can witness to the charism in the places where we do not find ourselves.
The Sisters of the Federation encouraged us to be real and to live in hope.
On Tuesday, the Vicar General of the Diocese of Sees and the Vicars for Religious for the Diocese of Le Mans and Sees spent the day with us.  On Wednesday evening, Bishop Habert from Sees joined us in the evening to celebrate Mass and have a meal with us.
On Wednesday, after the departure of our guests the General Council shared with us the work that had been realised in the last six years since the last Chapter to put the Chapter Acts into practice. An enormous amount of work has been undertaken including the European Region, the Mother House, the EHPAD Dujarie and other projects which will need attention in the coming years.
We were also made aware of the economic reality of the Congregation. We reinforced our belief that economic constraints should not hold back the proclamation of the Gospel. However, we need to find the balance between prudence and daring !
It does us good to laugh a little!!!
As we come to the end of this part of the Chapter we ask your prayers as we move into another stage, that of the elections.

Azo lazaina fa nandray anjara mavitrika sy nanana anjara toerany tokoa ireo lahika avy amin’ny région tsirairay avy izay samy nisy solon-tena avokoa. Tamin’ny atalata maraina no nitondran’izy ireo ny tatira avy amin’ny région misy azy ireo ka tsy latsa-danja tamin’izany tokoa  ny Madagasikara. Mahavelom-bolo sy mahavelom-panantenana ny nolazain’izy ireo ary tsapa fa efa tena niaina ny karisma sy ny maha fianakaviam-be Providence tamin’ny fomba maro samihafa. Nolazain’izy ireo fa vonona ny hiara-mienta sy hiara-miasa akaiky amin’ny fampandrosoana ny fikambanana sy ny fizarana ny karisma amin’ny olona rehetra.
Azo lazaina fa tena  mora nifandray tokoa izy ireo na dia samy hafa sy tsy fanakahazo fiteny aza
Ny talata hariva dia ny Conseil Général no nitondra ny tatitr’izy ireo ka nisongadina tamin’izany ireo zava-baovao vita nandritr’izay enin-taona izay ary ireo tetik’asa izay efa novolavolaina hotohizan’ireo izay hitantan indray ny fikambanana ho amin’ny enin-taona manaraka. Isaorantsika izy ireo tamin’izay rehetra vitany. Notohizina tamin’ny tatitra ara-bola izay nataon’ny masera économe .
Nandray anjara fitenena tao ihany koa ireo masera ao amin’ny fédération : mamera jeneraly roa sy ireo mpanolo-tsaina azy ireo :( Peltre sy Saint Gildas) izay samy nitondra ny teny fankaherezana sy firarian-tsoa avokoa ho an’ny fikambanana.
Nisy pretra telo no nanatrika omaly : curé de la paroisse eto Sée sy ny pretra mpiandraikitra ny fiainana voatokana any Le Mans sy eo anivon’ny diosezy. Niara-nanolotra sorona Masina niaraka taminay koa ny Evekan’ny Sée ny omaly hariva.
Zavatra faharoa azo lazaina nampiavaka ity chapitre ity dia samy afaka niteny amin’ny fitenin-drazany avokoa ny capitulantes rehetra na amin’ny ady hevitra na tamin’ny fitondrana tatitra isam-paritra.
Ary tena namelona ihany koa ny fifampizarana ny Tenin’Andriamanitra isan’andro
 alohany hanomboko ny fivoriana.

ça fait du bien de rire un peu

Monday 9th April

It is two days since the start of the Chapter and much has happened! On Saturday afternoon the 38 delegates gathered in a formal way to continue the work of the Chapter which had begun in our communities and regions many months ago.
During that evening we remembered the Sisters who had died during the past six years, since each one had contributed to the life and the history of the congregation. We also prayed for the new members who have joined us over the last six years who bring new life and hope.

On Sunday morning we welcomed representatives of our spiritual family
including the lay people who share our charism and those who are
involved in our schools and homes for the elderly. They will be with us
for the next few days as we reflect on our future together.
Our facilitator, Sr Therese reminded us that we are involved together
in a process of listening and discernment. We are invited to discern
which path to follow in order to move forward in the next six years.

The symbol that we see on our documents is the statue of St Benedict who listens.

38 in getal.
